Seeking recognition for people with severe disabilities on benefits

چکیده
This article examines how recent welfare reform in the UK has caused systemic violence to people with severe disabilities who are reliant on state benefits. It evaluates underpinning discourse framings and changes policies, using concepts of debility recognition reveal inherent contradictions policies targeting ‘wrong side inequality’. To help contribute a impact these changes, gives voice six who, through their benefit stories, expose this violence. Despite injustices, stories lives lived great courage resilience, worthy much greater recognition.
